Unlike Google's built-in color box, this tool understands HSL as input and supports the modern OKLCH and LAB color spaces that CSS Color Level 4 and Tailwind v4 now use, so you can move a color from legacy HEX into a perceptually-uniform space and back. When a wide-gamut OKLCH or LAB color falls outside what a screen can show, the HEX and RGB values are clipped to the closest displayable color and we tell you. Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

How it works
